Following ten years at the renowned three-Michelin-star restaurant De Librije in Zwolle (The Netherlands) and two successful years at Hong Kong’s two-Michelin-star Amber restaurant, Sidney Schutte has returned to The Netherlands as Executive Chef at Waldorf Astoria Amsterdam and Librije’s Zusje Amsterdam, winning two prestigious Michelin stars within just seven months of opening.

Sidney leads his kitchen with a strong personal signature, combining local ingredients with Asian influences and produce. He has worked in such high-profile restaurants as Kasteel Wittem, De Librije in Zwolle and De Scholteshof in Stevoort, and has been acknowledged as “SVH Meesterkok” – the highest recognition a chef can achieve in The Netherlands.
